The lease is in your name — but the loan or the title would work better in your spouse's. Households restructure car ownership at buyout time all the time. Here's how.

Cleanest route: the lessee exercises the purchase option, and both spouses go on the loan together. Two incomes on the application, both names available for the title.

Want it in one name only? Common for credit strategy — say, keeping ratios clean before a mortgage. The loan and the title are separate decisions; make each on purpose.

Divorce situations work too: the lessee buys, then title transfers per your state's process. Get the bank's policy in writing before any agreement assumes it.

Champion Auto Finance structures solo and joint buyouts, subject to lender underwriting, across New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. championautofinance dot com.
