Lease End Buyouts

What is a lease buyout?
Keep the car. Make it yours.

A lease buyout is how you keep the car you’re driving instead of giving it back: you buy it for the price in your lease contract. We coordinate lease end buyouts with qualified lenders, so you keep the vehicle you already know and lock in terms that actually make sense.

🔑 Lease Buyout

Own the lease you’re driving

Your lease is ending — or you’re over the mileage — and returning the car means fees and finding a replacement. A buyout turns your lease into a loan on a car you already trust.

  • Finance your vehicle’s residual (payoff) amount
  • Skip excess-mileage and wear-and-tear return charges
  • Keep the car you know instead of starting over
  • Lock in ownership before the lease end deadline

Lease buyout meaning

What is a lease buyout?

A lease buyout is the purchase of the car you have been leasing, at the price written into your lease contract, instead of returning it when the lease ends. The price is built on the residual value set the day you signed. Once it is paid, the lease closes, the title moves into your name, and the car is yours to keep, sell or drive past the mileage cap.

What you pay
  • The residual value in your contract, plus any purchase-option fee it lists
  • Sales tax where you register the car, plus title and registration fees
  • Remaining payments only if you buy early, so ask for an early payoff quote
  • Nothing to a dealer unless you choose to buy through one
How does a lease buyout work?
  • 1. Get the payoff in writing from the finance company that holds your lease
  • 2. Compare it with the car’s value to see whether keeping it makes sense
  • 3. Pay cash or finance it — one application, handled privately, and we work to get you the best rate possible
  • 4. The lender pays the leasing company and the title transfers to you
Why it’s different

A car deal shouldn’t
cost you a Saturday.

The usual route means driving out, sitting in a showroom, and negotiating in person. We take that whole trip off your plate.

The usual way
  • Drive to the dealership and wait around
  • Paperwork and pressure across a desk
  • Guess whether the terms are fair
  • Come back again to finish the deal
With Champion
  • Start it from your phone in a few minutes
  • Clear, upfront terms in plain language
  • We get you the best rate possible
  • Sign and fund online — nothing to attend
See if you qualify

Every situation is different, and approval always depends on lender underwriting — but these are the signs a lease buyout is worth a conversation.

You may be a great fit if…

  • Your lease is ending or you’re over the mileage
  • You love the car and want to keep it
